Technical SEO auditswith a fix list, not a PDF

A technical audit is only useful if someone acts on it. Ours end with a short list of fixes, ranked by impact, written so your developer can start the same day.

Short answer

A technical SEO audit checks whether search engines can crawl, render and index your website properly, and whether it loads fast enough. Seospidy's audit covers crawlability, indexing, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, duplicate content and internal linking.

What we check

Crawling and indexing

What Google can reach, what it's choosing not to index, and why. We compare your sitemap, Search Console coverage and a full crawl side by side.

Speed and Core Web Vitals

Real-user data from Chrome, not just lab scores. We find the heavy scripts, oversized images and render-blocking files slowing you down.

Site structure

How your pages link to each other, how deep important pages are buried, and whether your navigation helps or hurts.

Structured data

Organisation, LocalBusiness, product, FAQ, breadcrumb and article markup: checked for errors and for whether it matches what's on the page.

Duplicates and thin pages

Parameter URLs, near-identical location pages, tag archives, print versions. Too many low-value pages drag the whole site down.

Redirects and errors

Redirect chains, 404s with backlinks pointing at them, mixed HTTP and HTTPS, and www versus non-www versions competing.

What you get at the end

A document you can read in ten minutes. The first page is the top five fixes and what each one should change. After that come the details: affected URLs, screenshots, and exact instructions for WordPress, Shopify, custom PHP or static sites.

If you want, we'll do the fixes too. A lot of clients hand us access and let us get on with it.

When you need one

  • Traffic dropped after a Google update and you don't know why
  • You're redesigning or moving to a new platform and don't want to lose rankings
  • The site has grown to hundreds or thousands of pages and nobody's sure what's indexed
  • Pages look fine to you but aren't showing up in Google at all
  • Your PageSpeed scores are red on mobile

A note from our own site

We rebuilt seospidy.com in 2026 and went from over 13,000 pages to about 70. Most of those old pages were near-identical city pages, and they were doing more harm than good. The audit process on this page is the same one we ran on ourselves. You can read about it in why we cut our site from 13,000 pages to 70.

FAQ

Questions people ask us

How long does a technical audit take?

For most business websites, five to seven working days. Large e-commerce sites or sites with tens of thousands of URLs take longer, and we'll give you a date upfront.

Do I need developer access?

Read-only access to Google Search Console and Analytics is enough for the audit. If you want us to make the fixes, we'll need CMS or hosting access.

Will fixing technical issues improve my rankings?

Sometimes dramatically, sometimes not much. If Google can't index your key pages, fixing that is huge. If your site is already clean, the gains come from content and links instead, and we'll tell you that.

Do you audit Shopify and WordPress sites?

Yes, plus Wix, Webflow, custom PHP, React and static HTML sites. Each platform has its own quirks and we know most of them.
